Mayor Bloomberg is a good reason why term limits should exist

Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a petition to try and save Sakineh Ashtiani from being stoned for adultery in Iran; yet he supports Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the spiritual leader of Masjid Al-Farah mosque and he supports building a mosque near Ground Zero.

The Mayor of New York City must also be a proponent of Sharia Law and its abuse of women around the world, because Iman Feisal believes there is a place in our court system for Sharia Law.

On October 30, 2008, the United Nations condemned the stoning to death of Aisha Duhulowa, a 13-year-old girl who had been gang-raped and then sentenced to death by a Sharia court for fornication (Zina). She was screaming and begging for mercy, but when some family members attempted to intervene, shots were fired by the Islamic militia and a baby was killed.

Local Sharia courts in Bangladesh regularly punish raped minor girls and women by flogging and beating them with shoes. [1] Similar cases of punishing raped women are Mina v. the State, Bibi v. the State and Bahadur v. the State. [2] Sharia courts in Pakistan have punished thousands of raped women by long term imprisonment. [3]
You might think that such horrific barbarity cannot be the real Sharia law; that it is a misapplication of the law by ignorant clergy.

In his published book, "What Is Right with Islam," Feisal Abdul Rauf wrote of his fondness for Sharia Law and his belief that the U.S. can accommodate it.

Imam Feisal and his thoughts on 9/11/2001:

On a 60 Minutes program which aired on 9/30/2001, shortly after the 9/11 attacks, Imam Feisal said:

"I wouldn't say that the United States deserved what happened," -- "but United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened." Rauf further stated, “Because we [Americans] have been accessory to a lot of innocent lives dying in the world,” it could be said that “[i]n fact, in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA.

I really don’t think any of the 2,750 families of the murdered victims of the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001 would agree that their now dead family members were an accessory to a crime.

Mayor Bloomberg are you really considering this in our City, The Capital of the World?

No Mosque at near or around Ground Zero will be accepted.

Stop Islam to come to America, they wants to demand, if they don't like it here they can go back and practice their religion in their countries.

  2. WHO IN THEIR “RIGHT” MIND WOULD SUPPORT
    BUILDING AN ISLAMIC TERRORIST MOSQUE
    NEXT TO GROUND ZERO?

REMINDER: al-Qaida IS THE ENEMY – WE ARE AT WAR

This is an outrage, that any American let alone Mayor Bloomberg and Attorney General Andrew Cuomo would not only entertain, but support a plan to build an Islamic mosque within walking distance of Ground Zero.

The director of the proposed project, known as the Cordoba Institute, is Imam Faisel Abdul Rauf. Serious concerns regarding security risks and motivations for building the mosque immediately started to emerge when the Imam, refused to disclose the funding source.

On July 8, 2010, GOP gubernatorial hopeful Rick Lazio immediately took to the airways to remind us that Imam Faisel Abdul Rauf is the same Imam that blamed the United States for the attacks of September 11, 2001… saying that U.S. policies contributed to the attacks.

In an interview with The Associated Press on July 12, 2010, Representative Peter King, raised concerns about the sources of funding for the proposed $100 million mosque, just blocks away from the site of the September 11th attacks, where nearly 3,000 Americans died at the hands of Islamic terrorists.

"It's a house of worship, but we are at war with al-Qaida," King told the AP. "I think the 9/11 families have a right to know where the funding comes from; I think there are significant questions."

“Even though a mosque is supposed to be a religious setting, Ground Zero may not be an appropriate spot for this or any proposed mosque”, King said.

King concluded so appropriately when he said, "right at this moment in history, it's bad form to put it there. There are things you are allowed to do, but that aren't appropriate to do."

    I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!

  5. Phoney "Ground Zero mosque" controversy (not a mosque, incidentally) trumped up by a person who thinks Obama is Malcolm X's love child (yes, really): http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2010/08/16/ground_zero_mosque_origins

'Ground Zero' Imam invited to speak at Daniel Pearl's memorial: http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2010/08/-ground-zero-imam-i-am-a-jew-i-have-always-been-one/61761/

Just as Christianity ≠ the Hutarees, Islam ≠ Al-Qaeda
